Submitted requests are subject to guidelines as determined by each department. Carefully read all instructions listed on each form and monitor your email for their correspondence.
Types of Special Requests:
- Closed Class Requests
- Closed Class Requests are used for trying to request a seat into a closed section of a business courses. Approval for a seat into a closed section is not guaranteed and is determined by the Department who oversees the course.
- If disapproved, continue checking back daily on CatsWeb to see if any seats become available. Times to especially check is after final grades have posted at the end of a semester and around payment deadlines. See Academic Calendar.
- Refer to your most recent advising plan notes and/or degree audit to find alternative course options to register for in the upcoming semester.
- Closed Class Requests are used for trying to request a seat into a closed section of a business courses. Approval for a seat into a closed section is not guaranteed and is determined by the Department who oversees the course.
- Prerequisite Override Requests (if taking prerequisite coursework off-campus and/or has an approved course substitution on file)
- Students who take courses off-campus at another institution and/or has an approved course substitution on file that is a prerequisite for a TXST course they plan to take in an upcoming semester will need to request a prerequisite override to be eligible to register for the TXST course(s).
- Department Approval Requests
- Some business courses require department approval to register. To obtain the necessary registration approval, eligible students must submit a department approval request form.
- Campus Restriction Requests
- Some business courses are restricted to programs offered at a different campus. Students can request consideration for a campus restriction override from the appropriate academic department.
